Inventis Limited [ASX: IVT]: Brian Hermann’s award winning Crater Lake Developments Limited is the successful buyer of the New Zealand business of Gregory Commercial Furniture. The new owner will maintain the existing Damba and Gregory brands with the new company entity to be known as Damba Gregory Commercial Furniture Limited.

As previously reported, Inventis has been implementing strategies to simplify the structure of the business across its Australian operations aimed at delivering improved operational effectiveness, faster decision-making and sharper commercial execution. This process is now complete with the appointment of an experienced and dynamic new senior management team with a clear focus on customer service, quality and profitability.

Inventis Limited Executive Chairman, Tony Noun, is in New Zealand at present for the handover of those operations to Mr Hermann. When asked about the benefit of the sale and the restructure, Mr Noun said:

“In addition to the benefits arising from this transaction for New Zealand stakeholders including customers, staff and suppliers, the sale has positive flow on effects for the Australian operations.

The bringing together of the senior management team will simplify the way we do business. Although at first glance it may not seem like it, but in fact the entities are very similar in many ways, including the marketplace we work within. The only variation is the products and services we offer, otherwise, there is little difference. There are many synergies to be had from this business integration, including the unique people skills, on all sides.

The consolidation of the Australian operations will also involve the relocation of the two core manufacturing facilities under single roof. This will enable the new management team to drive further revenue and efficiencies, and unlock the potential of all the brands.
Importantly, for both the divested business in New Zealand and for the continuing Australian operations, our commitment to quality and great products will not change.”
